Description: The shapefile shows the 300-meter Buffer inland from the 1-meter Sea Level Rise(SLR) (NHD - get more source info)) and the protion of buffer in Protected Lands as of 08/2019 according the Florida Managed Lands shapefile (FNAI).The 1-m Sea Level Rise (National Hydrological Service) shows the area along Florida's coastline that will be inundated with saltwater when levels reach the 1-meter mark. The shapefile was created using bathymetry and topography to predict the full area of inundation in the future.A 300-meter buffer was applied to the 1-m SLR shapefile to evaluate land use within the buffer on the inland edge. The portions of buffer within marine and estuarine habitats were eliminated from the buffer using the Cooperative Land Cover (version 3.3). The buffer was created to evaluate the potential for inland migration of Coastal Uplands habitats. Areas that are in protection may provide a safe haven for the migration of communities inland. Protection within the upland portions of the 300-meter buffer were analysed using the FNAI ManagedLands_FLMA_082019 shapefile that include all conservation areas in Florida.
