Comments: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Priority resources are the set of biological, ecological, and cultural features and ecological processes collaboratively identified as most important or most significant for the focus geography. These resources embody the key components of the Peninsular Florida Landscape Conservation Cooperative (PFLCC) vision, which is a collective vision that reflects the mission, vision, common interests, and values of the focus geography partners. The priority resources are the focus of the PFLCC’s planning, design and implementation of conservation strategies(Benscoter et al. 2015). In Spring 2015, PFLCC’s Steering committee unanimously voted to adopt the SWAP ( the Florida State Wildlife Action Plan) habitats as the basis for the PFLCC Priority Resources. These provided the starting points for PFLCC’s PRs. Three of the 12 PR’s are not habitat based but rather conceptual (i.e., Connectivity, Cultural and Socioeconomic). The n9 PR’s that are habitat based were further refined using the aggregated model priorities 1 and 2 from the Critical Lands and Waters Project Identification Project. Together the Priority Resources of the PFLCC represent the Landscape Conservation Design, called the Blueprint v. 1. The Blueprint is currently publicly available on the PFLCC’S Conservation Planning Atlas Website.This layer represents the Conservation BluePrint Version 1 for the Peninsular Florida Landscape Conservation Cooperative. It depicts the Priority Resources that are the focus of terrestrial conservation planning.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>The Priority Resources (PR) are the set of biological, ecological, and cultural features and ecological processes collaboratively identified as most important. Priority Resources included in the terrestrial portion of the Blueprint are: Coastal Uplands, High Pine and Scrub, Pine Flatwoods and Dry Prairie, Hardwood Forested Uplands, Freshwater Forested Wetlands, Freshwater Aquatic (Rivers, Lakes, Springs), Freshwater Non-Forested Wetlands, Working Lands and Socio-Economic, and Landscape Connectivity. The Blueprint was derived from the Cooperative Land Cover (CLC) 3.2 (2016).</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>The Blueprint was further refined using the top two priorities from the CLIP 4.0 Aggregated Priorities Model (August, 2016). This model combines the conservation priorities from the Biodiversity, Landscapes, and Surface Waters Resource Priority models – and the underlying CLIP Core Data Layers. Priorities range from 1 (highest Priority areas for conservation) to 5 (lowest priority above no priority).
