Name: Monitoring well (upper number is station name; lower number is estimated depth to water, in feet)
Display Field: Site_ID
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPoint
Description: This data set consists of digital points that represent the depth to water table on Long Island, New York. The U.S. Geological Survey measured 16 streamgages and 335 monitoring wells (observation and supply wells) screened in the Upper Glacial and Magothy aquifers. This geographic information systems (GIS) data set is a digital representation of the depth to water measurements presented in sheet 4 of Scientific Investigations Map 3326.

Name: Estimated depth to water below land surface, in feet
Display Field:
Type: Raster Layer
Geometry Type: null
Description: The depth to water table was measured at 276 groundwater monitoring wells (observation and supply) screened in the upper glacial and Magothy aquifers during April and May of 2016. This raster data set was interpolated from the water level data collected at those sites and represents a continuous surface of the estimated depth to water for hydrologic conditions for Nassau and Suffolk Counties, Long Island, New York. These data are presented in Sheet 4 of Scientific Investigations Map XXXX.
