Comments: Marsh model used 2010 Landsat imagery and parameters related to open water, vegetation greeness, and wetness heterogenaity to model KIRA relative abundance.Model displayed in 5 quantiles to aid interpretation. Rice HSI used USDA-NASS CDL data from 2008-2013 along with NLCD canopy cover and NHD data to predict habitat suitability. Brackish marsh layer used methodology for marsh relative abundance model to identify brackish marsh with good vegetative and abiotic factors proximal to extant KIRA habitat, for potential conversion to intermediate salinities. Open water layer uses 2006 and 2010 CCAP to identify areas recently converted from marsh to open water and other open waters proximal to existing KIRA habitat, for potential habitat creation efforts.
